Live UK Poker Tour
European Live Poker Tour Information and Qualification Portal dedicated to the ‘top end’ European poker player.
Live UK poker tour has been developed as a one stop ‘Live UK Poker Tour’ information and qualification portal by a team of dedicated UK and Ireland poker tour players. The current European poker scene remains as popular and well supported as ever. We believe that this is due to the dedicated ‘top end’ poker community finding more cost effective ways to fund European poker tour events and festivals.
Our dedicated team regularly trawl the endless lists of online poker rooms and satellite qualifiers in the search of ‘Best Value Online Satellite Qualification’ for all up coming main European Poker Tour events and festivals. As the tour moves on, so does Live UK poker tour, we pride ourselves in being dynamic giving current, relevant information at all times as we count down to the next main event on our Home Page.
Follow both the Live UK poker tour team and the Live UK poker tour community’s progress on our live blog during both ‘Best Value Satellite Qualifiers’ and hopefully during the main event!

The GUKPT is a great value added tour and one of our favourite Live European Poker tournaments. The GUKPT tour was launched in 2007 and brings the excitement of the big game experience to ‘G’ casino’s across the UK. The Live tour is run jointly by Blue Square Poker and Grosvenor ‘G’ casinos. The GUKPT consists of a series of live poker tournaments that take place throughout the UK and online. At the end of the year the stakes are raised to £3,000 for the GUKPT Grand Final, which take place live at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London.
In the first year of the GUKPT prize money topped £3.5m and the tour was televised for Channel 4. Indeed, television coverage of every leg of the GUKPT’s inaugural year helped create a whole new host of live British poker superstars, taking live poker in the UK to unprecedented new levels. Professional players, keen amateurs and Internet qualifiers from various European destination were amongst those who sat down each month to battle it out for a place in history and life changing amounts of money.
In 2008 the GUKPT was not televised, but if anything, it was even more competitive than in 2007 as new tournaments were added to the schedule and the rankings system was extended to include all GUKPT side events as well as the main event. 2008 concluded with the inaugural Champion of Champions tournament, a £75,000 event open only to players who had won GUKPT events during the 2008 tour. Former European Number one and 2008 Grand Prix champion Ash Hussain emerged victorious while 2008 rankings winner Marc Goodwin cemented his GUKPT dominance with a third place finish.
2009 was the third year for the UK’s largest poker tour and Blue Square in association with Grosvenor ‘G’ casinos added £150,000 in added value. The Champion of Champion’s event prize pool was increased to £100,000 and the GUKPT rankings system swelled to a £50,000 prize pool. Two high roller Heads Up Tournaments were added to the GUKPT schedule and three new mini festivals were also included, as was the GUKPT Summer Series. The tour also visited Scotland for the first time, with Aberdeen’s newly opened ‘G’ casino playing host to one of the Summer Series events in June.
The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) will be returning in 2010 for a fourth year. 2010 will see new events and new venues added to the schedule of the UK’s biggest poker tour. Once again Grosvenor ‘G’ Casinos and their online partner gcasino.com are adding significant prize money to the tour. The added prize money in 2010 will be at least £200,000!
